New Grant Award

The Center for Economic Progress was recently awarded a grant by COUNTRY Financial through its Count on COUNTRY Financial grant program. The Center was one of five organizations to win a grant from COUNTRY as part of the company's commitment to help build financially strong Chicago neighborhoods.

CEP will use the grant to implement its Financial Aid U program, which will help families apply for federal student aid and gain access to post-secondary education. In collaboration with Chicago Public Schools and the Illinois Student Assistance Commission, CEP will host 20 Chicagoland events targeting families with high school seniors.

“At COUNTRY, we are dedicated to helping families achieve financial security and strengthening the communities we serve,” said Mike Fisher, COUNTRY District 1 Director of Agencies of Chicago (pictured far right). “These nonprofit organizations share our mission. Together we can reach out to those who need it most and build financially strong Chicago neighborhoods.”
