Using Donations Wisely

The Center for Economic Progress is a conscientious steward of the gifts and grants it receives from its supporters.

Charity Navigator, an industry-leading charity-ranking service, in 2008 gave the Center a four-star rating for sound fiscal management for the third consecutive year. Only 9% of the charities that Charity Navigator has surveyed have received the four-star rating three years in a row.

In 2007, about 82 percent of the Center's revenue was used for mission-critical programs benefiting low-income families. This percentage substantially surpasses guidelines established by leading charity watchdog groups.
